Alan Jaras Photography - A Bridge Between Art & Science

Taken directly form his flickr page:

"Using traditional photographic techniques and pieces of complex shaped glass and plastics I project these patterns directly on to colour film. The resulting images and photographs that you see are purely analogue and are not computer generated, but a true representation of the patterns formed by the light beam after its complex journey through the refractive objects I create. These are analogue images of the refraction patterns of a beam of light passing through various transparent objects. The image is captured directly on to 35mm film, no camera lens is used, the transparent object replaces the lens. Colour is introduced by placing specially prepared coloured filters directly in the light beam."

Efface byChris Ro

The human face is infinitely complex and in some instances extraordinarily simple.

my infatuation with Cameras

I have this compulsive habit of wanting to buy every camera that comes my way. In the past years I have manage  to mellow down, and take a break. The land list has been quite helpful in determining which polaroids to buy. This two are great!

all kinds of stuff....

O. Henry

As a Kid I love O. Henry' s short stories, they were unpredictable and always had an great twist at the end. I clearly remember the last leave, the gift of Magi & The green Door.

I was lucky enough to find this book on a yard sale for a buck!! check out the date it was published.
