hecho con ganas

HECHO CON GANAS (HCG) is an experiment and art-publisher that explores the lengths one can reach through motivation, persistence, and hard work. The phrase "hecho conganas" is Spanish for “made with motivation / desire / passion”. HCG isn’t just a title, but a clear and powerful phrase that sums up the very spirit of the project.

The Impossible Project

Abandoned Truck J.García
Shot on Polaroid 667
The Factory.

You might know this already, but they (when I say they, I mean a group of investors & the world’s most experienced integral film experts) are bringing or trying to bring the Polaroid back!!! This is exiting news for me and everyone that loves the format. In their own words " Therefore Impossible b.v. has acquired the complete film production equipment in Enschede (NL) from Polaroid, has signed a 10-year lease agreement on the factory building; and has engaged the most experienced team of Integral Film experts worldwide. "

I am looking forward to the future of Polaroid...

I once had the pleasure to meet Sofia Maldonado thru myspace emails. I have seen her work all over Puerto Rico and having lived in L.A. for a while, I knew she could go out and make a dent in the world. Our exchange was a few years ago, now she is NYC, getting noticed and starting her worlwide take over. We have a few friends in common so I am looking forward to meeting her someday, but for now enjoying her work will do...

I really like their work.

P. Insect

"Paul’s work has evolved considerably. Victorian graphics have been replaced by Dada-ist collages fusing adolescence, aggression, and rough-around-more-than-just-the-edges pornography. These motifs are tempered by a joyous use of colour and an ambitious style. Equally, the images are provoking and provocative: dripping as much with sensitivity and gravitas as they are with sex and death." VIA (eclectic cow)
