Seth Godin Interview
“The opportunity of a lifetime is to pick yourself. Quit waiting to get picked; quit waiting for someone to give you permission; quit waiting for someone to say you are officially qualified and pick yourself. It doesn’t mean you have to be an entrepreneur or a freelancer, but it does mean you stand up and say, ‘I have something to say. I know how to do something. I’m doing it. If you want me to do it with you, raise your hand.’”

Playboy Interview: Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert
"Tom Cruise is the biggest star in America today, but we seem to inflate him into the greatest actor in history in order to get him onto the covers of magazines. I am utterly bored by celebrity interviews. Most celebrities are devoid of interest. Who wants to read a [lengthy] interview with Tom Cruise? I don’t—and I write them! Life is too short to want to know about Bruce Willis"

WOODY ALLEN: WHAT I'VE LEARNED
"It's just an accident that we happen to be on earth, enjoying our silly little moments, distracting ourselves as often as possible so we don't have to really face up to the fact that, you know, we're just temporary people with a very short time in a universe that will eventually be completely gone. And everything that you value, whether it's Shakespeare, Beethoven, da Vinci, or whatever, will be gone. The earth will be gone. The sun will be gone. There'll be nothing. The best you can do to get through life is distraction. Love works as a distraction. And work works as a distraction. You can distract yourself a billion different ways. But the key is to distract yourself."

XAVIER DOLAN - Filmmaker
I stumble to Xavier Dolan's Heartbeats on Netflix and was taken away by it. Its a simple story told in a very stylized and beautiful manner. Recently I have been hearing a lot about his new movie Laurence Anyways. Check out an interview with this marvelous filmmaker.
"So many times I’ve been bullied into references and influences that were never mine by viewers that would project their opinions and associations and assumptions on me. I remember some journalist wrote: “Yes, we got it, you saw Godard’s 2 or 3 Things I Know About Her.” I had never heard of that movie. I know who Godard is, and I’ve seen 2 films by him. But let’s get real: ideas travel and everything’s been done, it’s all a matter of interpreting things again now."

Wes Anderson, Creating A Singular 'Kingdom'
"I remember the emotion of feeling like I was falling in love at that age, and how powerful it was and sudden and inexplicable," he says. "And nothing happened in my case, but I think it's a fantasy I would have had at that age — would have envisioned. ... These two characters are hit by a thunderbolt and determined to act on it."
